Description

On the occasion of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the “Frecce Tricolori” in 2010, Pagani Automobili created the Zonda Tricolore as a tribute to the National Aerobatic Team.

With the combination of a lightweight weight of just 1,210 kilograms, power and a sequential 6-speed gearbox, the Zonda Tricolore accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and passes the 200 km/h mark after 9.6 seconds.

The Frecce Tricolori (Tricolour Arrows) is known as the 313th Aerobatic Squadron of the Italian Air Force, based at Rivolto Air Base in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, province of Udine. It was founded in 1961 as an air force team, replacing earlier teams that had competed in succession since the late 1920s. The team flies the Aermacchi MB-339-A/PAN, a two-seater aircraft that can reach a speed of 898 km/h at sea level. With 10 aeroplanes (9 of them in formation) and one solo, they form the largest aerobatic team in the world. The Frecce Tricolori are part of Italy's heritage.

A total of 3 units were built.
