Description

The completely revised Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved previously unattainable driving performance. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport set a new speed record for road-legal production sports cars at the Volkswagen Group's proving ground in Ehra-Lessien in bright sunshine at 25 degrees centigrade. In the presence of the German TÜV and a representative of the Guinness Book of Records, the Super Sport achieved an average top speed of 431 km/h.

The Super Sport was produced in Molsheim from autumn 2010 alongside the Grand Sport and Veyron. The first five vehicles - the so-called "world record edition" in the bicolour paint finish "black visible carbon and orange" - were sold immediately.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE SERIES: THE BUGATTI VEYRON 16.4 SUPER SPORT

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is a unique high-performance sports car with which experienced drivers could open up new dimensions. Its character: 1,200 PS (882 kW), 1,500 Newton metres of maximum torque, 415 km/h top speed. To protect the tyres, the engine is electronically limited at 415 km/h, but the technology of the Super Sport is identical to that of the record-breaking vehicle. A special series of the first five examples of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is designed in the same colour scheme as the vehicle with which Bugatti achieved the speed record of 431 km/h.

DYNAMIC EXTERIOR

The design team led by Achim Anscheidt succeeded in giving the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport a completely unique appearance - all exterior modifications are always in the service of performance.
