Description

The Swedish sports car manufacturer unveiled the CCXR as a Limited Edition at the Geneva Motor Show. The CCXR Edition was designed to break records in the traditional Koenigsegg way. The aim was to deliver superior performance – on the straights as well as on technically demanding tracks – and always in style and comfort.

The CCXR was a CCX with the suffix "Flower Power", as it could also run on recyclable ethanol (e.g. E85), making it the very first green supercar in the world. No other supercar manufacturer had considered environmental considerations at the time. The CCXR took performance to a whole new level, because ethanol fuels have a higher octane rating than regular petrol.

The CCXR was named “one of the 10 most beautiful cars in history” by Forbes Magazine in 2009, having already won the Power Car Award in 2008.
